Responsibilities:
Working as an engineering consultant for Aker Solutions MH AS, Norway.
General arrangement for oil well drilling equipments and equipment detailed drawings, as-Built drawings and final documentation.
Assignments:
o Design and development, documentation of subsea equipments like BOP Trolley, X-mas tree trolley, different guiding systems for Seadrill, Sevan and Petrorig drilling rigs.
The assignment includes complete documentation for the equipment like FAT procedure, user manual, lifting procedure etc.
o Completed the Jack-up derrick detailed drawings and assembly drawings and assisting the Malaysian yard to fabricate the same.
o Project engineer for the Seadrill project to kick off the project involves understanding the contract terms, communicating between different departments, summarizing the technical specification for the different equipments.
o Was leading a team of 5 engineers from ITC Infotech.
2002-2006 Atlantis Lab Private Ltd, Pune, India
Atlantis is major engineering services provider in India with more than 10 MNC clients. (www.atlantis-lab.com)
Responsibilities:
Engineering consultant for more than 5 clients involves Schneider Electric (GESC), Atlas Copco, DGP Hinoday, Whirlpool, TATA Motors.
To generate the different engineering solutions and complete engineering drawings, training the resources and customers on different CAD tools.
Assignments:
o GESC is the design office for Schneider Electric, France. We were the part of initial set up and involved in various process development for delivery of drawings and designs.
Completed 3 successful projects to deliver drawings for switches, buss bars, and high voltage circuit breakers using Pro/E as application software.
o Atlas Copco India is an independent entity of a Swedish major. In Nasik, India plant involved in manufacturing of pneumatic tools viz. rock drillers, chippers, clay digger etc. My role was to customize the CAD training program specific to the customer needs and train 6 people and complete the 3 projects.
o Part of the Legacy data conversion project at Cummins India for the complete diesel engine
o Was working as casting tool design engineer at DGP Hinoday, Pune
DGP Hinoday, is Hinoday Japan and DGP India ventured company specialized in automotive castings. My job was to deliver complete tooling solution using Pro/Engineer as application software.
Successfully completed tooling for various components like piston, turbo chargers, differential gearbox housing etc.
o System Development and Stack up tolerance analysis for mini-oven at Whirlpool India, Pondicherry
Whirlpool India, Pondicherry is subsidiary of Whirlpool Org., USA. The plant at Pondicherry is involved in manufacturing of washers and cooking aids. My role was to analyze the different mechanical systems for the mini-oven and deliver the proper solution to achieve the quality. The tolerance analysis was necessary as a part of project to identify the flaws in the system.
2001-2002 Whirlpool India Ltd, Pune
Whirlpool India, Pune is subsidiary of Whirlpool Org., USA. The Pune plant is involved in manufacturing of refrigerators for domestic and export market.
Responsibilities:
I was involved as consulting Engineer, Supported the product development centre for various TCP projects like Standardization, liner thickness optimization, modifications in product as per the country norms and required features.
Other activities involves generating the new drawings using Pro/E as application software, testing of components/ systems and day to day engineering activities on the shop floor like trial run, EJO, random quality check and resolve field issues.
Assignments:
Major projects involve design changes into an existing model (260L Elite) to launch a low cost model (260L Dlx).
Design modification in the bottle cooler to achieve better performance.
Design modification for 310L product to reduce the cost.
